JUST GETTING STARTED

Bring Your Group to the Woods for a Day

Not a corporate retreat center. Not a banquet hall with a view. This is a quiet working farm, thirty acres of quiet, and a new pavilion out on the pasture for a group that wants a day away from the noise, together.

Need a screen for your retreat? We can make it happen.
WHAT THIS IS

A Day, Not (Yet) an Overnight

Right now, a Wild Woods group retreat is a single day at the property. You arrive in the morning, spend the day at the pavilion and out on the land, enjoy a campfire together (season permitting), and head home in the evening. Lodging is currently limited to four people total, split across our two off-grid stays, so overnight group retreats aren’t something we offer yet (unless you want to talk about tents). A day retreat sidesteps that. Everyone sleeps in their own bed that night, and the land still gets to do its work.

We ran our first group retreat as a practice run, and it worked well enough that we’re doing it again… deliberately, in small steps, instead of promising a fully built program before we’ve actually built it.

Right Now

The Practical Version

  • Format: Day retreat only. No overnight lodging for groups at this time. (Again, if you’re up for sleeping in tents, we may be able to help with that.)
  • When: Spring through fall. We close group retreats during the coldest stretch of the year, late December through March.
  • Where: Our new pavilion, out on the pasture, with the rest of the thirty acres open to wander. Use the sit spots for reflection and integration.
  • Group size: Every group is different. Tell us yours, and we’ll let you know if it’s a fit.
  • How to book: This is a new offering, so there’s no instant-book yet. Reach out and tell us what your group needs; we’ll go from there.

Why Start Small?

Still Figuring This Out, On Purpose

Wild Woods started as a place for one person, then two. Group retreats are the newest thing we’re building, and we’d rather grow it slowly and get it right than open the doors wide before we’re ready.

What that means for you: this isn’t a corporate off-site with a laminated agenda. It’s a real, working farm, and when your group comes, you’ll likely be dealing with us directly, not a events coordinator three layers removed from the land. Some things are still being figured out. We think that’s part of what makes it worth doing.

We’re building relationships with local vendors, and can help you connect with nature educators, photographers, videographers, massage therapists, breathwork therapists, caterers, florists, and other service providers.

FAQs

Can our group stay overnight? Not yet. Lodging is currently limited to four people total, split across our two stays, so group retreats are day-only for now.

What time of year can we come? Spring through fall. We don’t run group retreats late December through March.

How big can our group be? Tell us your group size when you reach out, and we’ll let you know if it’s a fit for where things stand right now. Our trial run was set up for 12.

Where does this actually happen? At our new pavilion out on the pasture, with the rest of the thirty acres — creek, woods, sit spots — open for your group to use during the day.

Is this facilitated, or do we run our own day? Every group is different — tell us what you’re hoping to get out of the day, and we’ll shape it around that.

Have you actually done this before? Yes. Our first group retreat was a practice run, and it went well enough that we’re doing it again.
