A Regular Stay? Or Something With More Shape?

A booking at Wild Woods is always just a booking. Come, unwind, leave when you’re ready. But if you’re arriving because something needs real attention, a decision, a relationship, a stretch of life that’s gotten too loud to think in…  we’ve built three ways to give your stay a little more shape, without filling it up.

What Makes It a Retreat?

Every retreat here follows the same idea: we give you a container, not a curriculum. An arrival kit waiting at your unit. A sequence of prompts, in a specific order, for a reason. A suggested rhythm for the days that’s loose enough to leave you alone, specific enough that the time doesn’t just dissolve. A handwritten note from Sue.

The land does most of the actual work. We just make sure you don’t have to think about logistics while it does.

If you want more than the self-guided version, a 45-minute conversation with Sue is available as an add-on. It’s not therapy, not coaching, just a conversation with someone who built this place for exactly the reason you’re here.

Find Your Path

Solo Immersion Stay For one person who needs somewhere quiet enough to think. 48 hours, a property map, five questions worth sitting with, and enough silence to finally hear yourself.

Couples Reset For two people who have been running hard and have drifted, not in crisis, just disconnected. No agenda, no facilitation. Just the land, a fire, and enough quiet to find each other again.

Group Retreats A day away from the noise, together for teams, small groups, or anyone who thinks better outdoors and in company. New, small, and seasonal. Here’s what it actually looks like right now.

why it works

What Guests Say

“We had a wonderful retreat and time to reconnect, refocus, and renew our commitment to living our best lives together.” “We grew closer and more in love here.”

Those are guests’ own words, from the guest book,  not us describing what we hope happens, but what people say happened. The pattern holds whether you’re working through something alone or with someone else: give people real quiet and enough structure to use it, and something shifts that a regular vacation usually doesn’t reach.

FAQs

Common Questions

Do I need to be in some kind of crisis to come? No. Most people who do a Solo Immersion Stay or Couples Reset aren’t in crisis. They’re just busy enough, or drifted enough, that they haven’t had unstructured time in a while. That’s reason enough.

Is this therapy or coaching? No. The optional conversation with Sue is a conversation, not a clinical service. If you’re looking for therapy or professional coaching, this isn’t a substitute for that.

Can I just book a regular stay instead? Always. A retreat experience is something we add on top of a normal booking, not a requirement. Come as you are, with or without the prompts.

Do you host group or corporate retreats? We’re just getting started with this. We’ve run one group day retreat so far, and we’re building on it deliberately rather than promising more than we can deliver yet. See Group Retreats for exactly where that stands.

Is there a minimum stay for a retreat experience? Two nights, for both the Solo Immersion Stay and the Couples Reset: Orion year-round, Otter Beach Treehouse spring through fall.
